EPFO & PF

Changing jobs often leaves your Provident Fund balance scattered across multiple member IDs under one Universal Account Number. While EPFO allows online transfer requests, many salaried employees stall when their previous employer delays digital attestation. You can complete this transfer online by routing the attestation through your current employer or verifying pre-filled KYC details directly.

Check Your UAN Activation and Aadhaar Seeding

Before initiating the transfer, log into the Unified Member Portal and confirm that your UAN status is active. Your bank account details, Aadhaar number, and mobile number must match across both member IDs to prevent system errors. If any detail is unverified, update your profile KYC tab before submitting the transfer request.

Select Current Employer for Online Attestation

Navigate to the Online Services tab on the Member Portal and click on One Member One EPFO Account Transfer Request. Choose your current employer as the attesting authority, as active HR departments process these requests significantly faster than past employers. Review your previous job details displayed on screen and generate the One-Time Password sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile.

Track Request Status and Form 13 Submission

Once you enter the OTP, the portal generates a downloadable Form 13 PDF confirming your transfer submission. You can monitor progress under the Track Claim Status tab without visiting the EPFO field office. Most verified digital transfers complete within seven working days once approved by your current employer.
